An Australian ableist named David Lawson posted some very strange thoughts about disabled people to Twitter yesterday. Specifically, he questioned why disabled people would need to use a vehicle outside of traditional work hours.
“Disabled parking should only be valid during business hours 9 to 5 Monday to Friday. I cannot see any reason why people with genuine disabilities would be out beyond these times,” he wrote.

Jennifer Lee Rossman, a sci-fi writer and geek who uses a wheelchair because of spinal muscular atrophy, had the perfect response.
“We’re disabled, Daniel, we’re not werewolves,” she wrote in a post that has now been liked more than 100,000 times.
